e-Funds Information

THE HARTLAND LAKESIDE SCHOOL DISTRICT IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF FAMILY ACCESS BY SKYWARD, INC. AND E-FUNDS FOR
SCHOOLS AT ALL THREE SCHOOLS.

Family Access is an internet based website that allows you to easily view your student's information on file at their school, their attendance and their food service purchases, payments and balance.

E-Funds for Schools is an electronic payment service provided by a third party service provider. The service provider has a nominal fee for their service. This plan applies a $1.00 transaction fee to each electronic check payment and a flat fee of $1.99 for each credit card transaction. The system also carries a Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) charge of $15.00. When you set up your account, please review your options carefully.

To begin using Family Access, simply go to www.Hartlake.org, choose one of your children's schools, and choose Family Access. You will be prompted for a user name and password. Your user name and password are the same at all schools. If you have a child attending each of the three schools, you only need one user name and password.

  • North Shore parents should use their existing user name and password to now view all children, regardless of the school they attend.
  • North parents should have received a letter home with their user name and password.
  • South parents should have received an email or should contact their school office for their user name and password.


While on Family Access, please note the other ID of your children. You will need to enter this information when you register for E-funds.

To begin using e-Funds, from the main menu at www.Hartlake.org , choose E-funds and register as a new user. You will be asked a series of questions, the first is "Add Student". You should choose the option, "By student number" and enter the student number you have retrieved from Family Access. Your student's name and grade should appear on the screen. If this information is incorrect, you will have the
option to remove the name.

You will then be prompted to enter your payment preferences. If you prefer to use a checking account, you must have your routing number and account number available. There are additional instructions on the site to register a credit card. No payments will be allowed without your knowledge and authorization through this secure payment system. By providing your home and/or work email address, an email notification informing you of the student's name, purpose of the payment and the amount of the item will be sent to you each time that a payment is to be processed.

The E-funds for School site is secure and uses industry standard encryption.

That's it! You are now ready to pay for lunches on line!

Our hope is that this will be an easy way for parents to make payments for student lunches, field trips and registration at the same time knowing that your payment will be processed in a timely manner.
