WKCE -Wisconsin Knowledge and Concept Exam Each November Wisconsin measures the progress of its 4th and 8th graders in the content areas of math, science, social studies, and reading. This test is based on the state standards that are used in all Wisconsin classrooms as a base for curriculum and learning. Beginning in 2005 - 06, students will also be tested at the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades in reading and math. This is in compliance with the No Child Left Behind legislation and measures district as well as individual student achievment on content knowledge. Individual student achievement profile sheets will be sent home to parents explaining the testing proficiencies and content.
