District Assessments

The Hartland Lakeside District collects multiple data on student achievement in all of the content areas and grade levels. This data collection provides teachers and administrators key information on how Hartland Lakeside students are learning at multiple intervals in their school career. The attached assessment policy provides an overview of the assessment types and uses.

Learning targets have been identified by content area and grade levels. Target assessments are major benchmarks then measure student growth towards these learning targets.

Formative assessment is the classroom use of a variety of assessment to measure student progress. It is used to monitor growth, provide feedback to parents, and give teachers snapshots of student learning.

Scantron is used in grades 3-8. This test measures student achievement in reading and math at each grade level. It is aligned with the Wisconsin Model of Academic Standards, and the data is used to inform instruction and measure student progress on the grade level standards.
