The Hartland Area Early Learning Initiative is a community collaborative with the vision that all Hartland 4-year-olds will have access to the highest quality developmentally appropriate early learning experiences. Involved in this initiative are area child care centers that have come together with the Hartland Lakeside School District.
Mission: All children will have equal access to early education in a variety of settings that support life-long learning. The purpose is to develop responsible citizens capable of perpetuating collaborative relationships in our local and global community.
This community approach allows families options in providing quality care and education to all four-year-olds in the Hartland area regardless of ability or family income. The benefits are many and include: equal access to quality learning for all parents, offer fewer daily transitions for some children, allowing them to stay in one place for child care and preschool, provides quality learning resources and efforts to children in a variety of settings, and reduces fragmentation of services for children.
